Mocha Smoothie

This is a ceamy, semi-sweet, nutritious alternative to iced coffee.

The recipe book that came with my new Nutri Ninja mini blender inspired this smoothie. I changed it a bit, to tune it more to my tastes and ingredients.

Makes two standard serves, or one greedy serve.

Ingredients:
8 ice cubes
1 cup cold water
1-2 tablespoons almond butter
Very small handful raw cashews (hulled hemps seeds could work)
Small banana
1 tablespoon cacao
2 shots of freshly brewed organic coffee
1 date, optional

Blend everything together until it’s creamy and smooth. Even bough it was a recipe for the Nutri Ninja, I used my Vitamix for extra creaminess.
